About the Author

Dan Beaudry was most recently the Campus Recruiting Manager for Monster.com where he constructed and managed the company's first formal university recruiting program. Prior to joining Monster, Dan was the Associate Director of Corporate Recruiting for the Boston University School of Management. His clients included Bank of America, EMC, Citigroup and many other firms with marquis campus recruiting programs.  While at BU, Dan also developed the school's “International Student Employment Series”; an annual program of seminars guiding students from India, East Asia and South America through the US job search process. Dan has also worked as a staffing specialist with recruiting agency Oxford Global Resources and as a management consultant with Towers Perrin.

Over the past ten years, Dan has been on all sides of recruiting: from hiring manager to candidate counselor to third-party recruiter. He has been a guest speaker at the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE) and the HR Planning Society (HRPS).  He is experienced enough to be intimately familiar with the recruiting world, yet young enough to remember what it's like to be an international student.  He holds a BA from Vanderbilt University, an MA in International Relations from Boston University, and language certifications from La Sorbonne in Paris.

Dan now runs corporate sales for QS, an education and careers media company most well-known for The World MBA Tour, and Global-Workplace.com.  He lives in Boston with his wife Elena (who is from Spain, and has been given more advice on her US job search than she ever asked for!)
